DESCRIPTION:<p class="p1"><strong>Registration deadline: November 2</strong> </p><p class="p1">PBH is in the upper left corner of the campus on this map: http://map.harvard.edu/.</p><p class="p3">The Harvard University Retirees Association will host an afternoon of poetry readings by Moira Linehan and Mildred J. Nash, who will share with our community and guests their published poetry.</p><p class="p4"><strong>Moira Linehan</strong> is the author of two collections of poetry: <em>Incarnate Grace</em> (2015) and <em>If No Moon</em> (2007). The poems in <em>Incarnate Grace </em>explore her 2009 breast cancer diagnosis and her approach to life since then.</p><p class="p4">            Her debut collection, <em>If No Moon, </em>which chronicles the loss of her husband, was awarded the 2006 Crab Orchard Series in Poetry. In 2008, it was named an Honor Book in Poetry in the 8<sup>th</sup> annual Massachusetts Book Awards.  Ms. Linehan writes full-time and occasionally leads poetry writing workshops in the Boston area.</p><p class="p4"><strong>Mildred J. Nash</strong> is the author of <em>Beyond Their Dreams</em> (1989), <em>A Faithfulness of Birds</em> (2013), and <em>Stars for Starters, A Night Sky Poetry Guide</em> (2014).  As a Harvard graduate student, she was a student of Elizabeth Bishop and assisted her in reorganizing the Lewis Wharf library.  After Ms. Bishop’s death, Ms. Nash wrote and published <em>Elizabeth Bishop’s Library: A Reminiscence</em>.</p><p class="p5">Please join us for an afternoon of friendship, refreshments, and poetry. This will be wonderful opportunity to meet our poets.</p><p class="p4">There is no charge for this event and free parking is available at the Broadway Parking garage.
