Alex Krieger, Professor Emeritus at the Harvard Graduate School of Design, will discuss his memoir, *Greenhorn: Episodes in an Immigrant's Life*. At the age of nine, Krieger arrived in the United States with his parents, survivors of the Holocaust. In the memoir, Krieger brings a poet's sensitivity and a craftman's precision to his reflection on the Greenhorn's instinct to embrace the values of an adopted nation while remaining eyewitness to its paradoxes.

Registration will be through Eventbrite. Per-person cost: $10. Refreshments will be served and a book signing will follow Prof. Krieger's talk. Copies of his book will be available for sale. Cash and checks accepted.

Photos and videos of attendees may be taken at this event and used, without personal identifiers, for promotional purposes.
